Developing your intuition for a richer life

Developing Your Intuition for a Richer Life | CynHannah.com

We have five senses that allow us to receive sensory information to navigate living in a physical world. As you know, they are: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Most people live by these alone.

Our five senses are limited to the human side of our nature. They are limited in how far they can take us.

You were also born with six extraordinary mental gifts.

Because of these, you have in your possession everything you need to create everything you want. These are our six mental faculties that connect us with our spiritual nature, the side of us that knows all the answers. The part of us that knows what steps we need to take to reach our goals.

Life is so much more fun and easy when we tap into the spiritual side of our nature.

I will be sharing our six mental faculties with you over the coming weeks.

Your intuition is your non-linear intelligence system that will guide you on your path to your dream. Your intuition can help you become aware in ways that your five senses or history could never inform you. Our intuition reads all the information that is going in to our subconscious mind.

“Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way.” — Florence Scovel Shinn

Our intuition is worth developing and listening to. Some of the ways your intuition may show up is as a hunch, a nudge, an idea, a knowing, a feeling in your gut or a small still quiet voice.

I bought a jacket that I love! I wear it to give presentations and to business luncheons. Right after I bought it I saw online that the same store had one in a little different style and a different color for half-price. I thought about buying it, but decided to be frugal. As I kept wearing my jacket, I realized it would be good to have another one. After all, I couldn’t keep showing up in the same clothes, seeing the same people. I went back to the website and it was sold out. Now, I really wanted it. Ladies, can you relate?

I kept checking the website thinking someone might return one. Then I realized all sale items are final and they don’t allow returns. I let the idea of this jacket go.
One morning I woke up and had the idea to check the website for the jacket. The smallest nudge. My logical mind told me they were out and they didn’t accept returns. But I have learned to follow these nudges. I got on my computer and what do you know, they had the jacket in my size!

This is a small example, but our intuition doesn’t make the distinction between big or small longings or ideas.

We need to get to know our intuition. When you hear the still small voice of your intuition know that it will be calm. It won’t be coming from a place of fear.

One time, I was riding my bicycle on a bike path and was going to turn around. I looked over my shoulder while still riding my bike to see if anyone was coming from the other direction. I was aware I hadn’t looked completely—it had been a brief glance. A small voice in my head said, “Stop and really look.” It was a calm and quiet voice one that was easy to ignore. I didn’t listen. Another cyclist was coming up fast, which I hadn’t seen. I ended up going over the embankment, end over end.

Albert Einstein said,

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

The answer to every question already exists, and the solution to every problem already exists. When we ask questions and are willing to listen, we can be in communication with the universal mind.

The Universal mind is omnipotent, meaning there is nothing more powerful. There’s nothing it can’t do. It is all resources. It is all power. It is all wisdom. And, our subconscious mind is part of the universal mind.

Your answers will can come to you in many different ways. You may get an idea from a billboard you see, a lyric in a song, from a conversation with a friend. We want to be open to knowing these are our answers.

I was leaving one career and didn’t know what was next. Everywhere I went I noticed the realtors' for "sale signs" in front of houses. I had once been a realtor but had let my license expire. When I would see the for sale signs I would think I wish I hadn’t let my real estate license lapse. It took me quite a while to see this as the nudge from the Universe telling me to get my real estate license again.

I finally understood my question was being answered and this is what was next for me. I got licensed again, and had a fun and lucrative career as a realtor.

Get to know your intuition by building a relationship with it, just as you got to know your best friend.

Be willing to be quiet and listen.

Pay attention to the signs and signals that are being sent to you.

I have heard it said that intuition is when God (Spirit, Universe, Life – whatever name you call it) talks to you.

What is your intuition guiding you to be, do, or consider this day?

Live your dream,
Cyn

I lost my last brother on July 3rd He was very ill and his passing was a blessing. For the past few days I have felt a sense of grace/peace etc. I know it was a sign from him that he is at peace and he wants me to be also.
