Promise #4: Think Only The Best

We’ve been studying the 12 Promises in The Optimist Creed by Christian D. Larson.

This week the promise is: “To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.”

Our thoughts matter.

Remember the result formula: Thoughts cause our feelings --> feelings cause our actions --> actions create our results.

Where we put our attention expands.

The universe and our unconscious believe that where we put our attention, and what we think about, is what we want.  When we put our attention only on the best: the best we can be, the best service or product we can offer, the best version of ourselves—we feel differently, we act differently, and we create an outcome that is in alignment with our best self.

Therefore, we want to be keenly aware of where we are putting our attention and on what we are focusing. When we focus on being the best, doing our best, and expecting the best, then the best can happen for us.

An affirmation I like to say is, “Today, I am bringing my best to everything I do,” or “I am bringing my best to each moment.”

Who do you need to be, to be your best today?  What are the qualities you would emulate?  What actions would you take to have this be your best day?

My invitation to you is—for every day this week—promise yourself, “To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.”

And see how your results start to change.

Here's to being your best,
Cyn
