Sometimes things don't go the way we plan or someone disappoints us. When this occurs, it's easy to jump to conclusions about what happened.

Even if we think we know why something played out the way it did, it's always good practice to take a few steps backward and look at the bigger picture before we react.

Is it possible that you were the one who got it wrong? Perhaps your friend had a particularly difficult day and had a good reason for letting you down. All too often we have a knee-jerk response based on only a handful of facts and a story that we mostly made up in our head.
