There's a lot to learn when it comes to your third gift—your Will. To begin with, it's completely different from willpower. Willpower is inconsistent and forceful, while your Will is used calmly and confidently.

Willpower will only take us so far because, at some point, we will get tired or discouraged. If willpower worked longterm, we’d all keep our New Year’s resolutions! But we know that usually isn’t the case.

The Will is the mental faculty that gives you the ability to hold one idea on the screen of your mind to the exclusion of all outside distractions. By holding the image of what we would love to be living or accomplishing it eventually goes into our subconscious mind.

That’s where the power is created, and that picture, being impressed upon the subconscious, begins to express itself in actions and in vibrations. It also sets up a strong attractive force. This is where the Law of Attraction comes into play.

Here are 3 ways to start using your will

  1. Take time to write a vision for a life you’d love to be living—in detail. Frequently bring to mind a picture of that life. You’re using a power that requires no force. It’s something that pulls you forward because you love this image.
  2. Feel the gratitude you’d have if you were living this life now.  This is important even though it hasn’t come into reality yet because it begins to move you to a higher vibration.
  3. Use this new image of your life to stay focused. Take your mind off of the conditions and circumstances that appear to be reasons why you can’t have this life. Stay focused on where you are going, while feeling as though you are already living your dream. Of course, you still need to take action steps to bring it in to reality.
